Self-Catering Farm Cottages
Duikersdrift Winelands Country Escape has four self-catering cottages on a working wine and olive farm in Tulbagh's Valley of Abundance. Room choices include the Deluxe Double, Deluxe Triple, Double with Mountain View, and Triple with Mountain View. Each cottage has mountain views, a kitchenette, smart TV, free Wi-Fi, and an open-plan bathroom with a rain shower and large bathtub. Air conditioning, a remote-controlled fan, and an outdoor fireplace handle hot summers and cold winters. A battery backup keeps the lights on during load shedding. Outside, a private patio includes a braai and a wood-fired hot tub.
Daphne's Bistro and Breakfast
Daphne's Bistro, the on-site restaurant, serves lunch and dinner with handcrafted Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta. Guests can also order meals to their cottage and eat on the patio facing the mountains. Breakfast is delivered as a basket; the R350 per couple basket includes fruit, yogurt, muesli, ciabatta, ham, quiche, jam, milk, and juice. The farm produces award-winning wines and olive oil, and wine tasting is available on site.
Pool, Hot Tubs, Trails
The guest pool sits in a secluded area with pergolas, loungers, and views of the vineyards and mountains. Each cottage has its own wood-fired hot tub. On-site and nearby activities include wine tasting, picnics, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and birdwatching around the dam. There is a children's playground, and farm animals like donkeys and horses are part of the working farm.
